17. FRIEND
Ironic that this prompt happens to fall on one of my best friend’s birthdays! But then again…let us remember that everything happens for a reason. The friends that surround me are so important to me…important to us. They are each unique and they each make me want to be a better person. They have gone above and beyond for us in our time of need. They are carrying, understanding, compassionate, and devoted. I could not imagine surviving the loss of Jackie without them. They rise and fall with me, they show up and they stand beside me for whatever we need. They are my strength so often when I am weak…I honestly cannot say enough about them. Our support system is the best! We love each and every one of you for who you are and for who you make us. We thank you for standing by us during this time, we thank you for sharing the silence, we thank you for sending love, we thank you for how many times you put us as a priority. We are so very blessed. Your actions do not go unnoticed and they are so very appreciated…even if we forget to say thank you. I send you all hugs and kisses and a HUGE THANK YOU. You make our strength possible. We love you!
