27. SOOTHE
To soothe the soul, quite the mind, and to be at peace…sometimes these are difficult tasks. I have taken steps to lessen the stress in my life to allow myself to heal…to fully feel every emotion. I do not want to hide my grief or try to bury it in work. I had mentioned in previous posts that I stepped down from my managerial position at work and now only work part-time, I also invested in a few new hobbies including gardening and crafting with my Cricut. These hobbies have given me a way to be with myself…think through emotions…and to sometimes distract my mind. Learning to soothe…what works and what doesn’t has been vital for my healing process. Be kind to myself, be kind to others…release stress. Deep breaths…cry…write it down…more deep breaths…okay….I’m okay.
