Ultrasound Notes
We have a 20mm! 16, 14, and 10 on the right. A 7mm on the left.
I am going in tomorrow once more for another ultrasound and the plan is to do the trigger shot that evening!!!
IUI transfers are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday morning this week!!!
I just want to take a moment, that being the night of the 7th, to just say how insanely excited I am. I left the office today with the largest smile on my face. I cannot contain my happiness that the appointment brought me. We have waited…waited…and waited some more for this week to be here and it finally is here and it is flying by so fast. It feels like my period was just yesterday but here we are…day 12. Day 12 and we already have our dates for our IUI transfers! I can hardly believe it. It feels so surreal. Someone pinch me!
I had a few friends ask today about the odds of this IUI taking our first treatment cycle and I answered them in the same manner. Percentages no longer interest me…Jackie was a less than 1% chance and he happened…so anything is possible. We will just take one day at a time and see what happens. I am excited and hopeful and also terrified about my trigger shot!

Ultrasound Notes
Our 20mm is now at 21!
I must have misunderstood my results from yesterday we did not have a follicle measuring at 16. The other leading follicle that was at 14 is now at a 13. I am a little disappointed that we do not have two mature eggs to release however the ultrasound tech did say that the 13 could also release when we do our trigger shot.
We are still on schedule to do the trigger shot tonight between 6pm and 9pm. I have a family friend coming over to assist for moral support as well as to potentially administer the shot since Jack and I are both being chickens regarding the matter.
Jack is schedule to arrive at the clinic tomorrow and Thursday morning at 8am and my appointments for the IUI transfer are scheduled for 9am. I am nervous and excited and everything in-between!
Additional Information
I had taken Letrozole from April 28th to May 2nd, Days 3-7 of my cycle. I had no idea that one could feel their ovaries but I have to say that I felt them. I didn’t really have too many side effects besides a little discomfort in my abdomen…aka literally my ovaries. I also have been taking my thyroid medication and I cannot say enough good things about this medication! I feel like a new person! I have so much energy, I am positive and happy, and I have been losing weight! Where has this been all my life!
We successful administered the ovidrel shot and I have video documentation of the event! I am sure I will share it on Facebook at some point! A huge thank you to our family friend…cousin…partner in fertility for sticking me with the needle and thank you to my sister-in-law who made sure we recorded the event on my phone…she also held my hand. Here we go!!!
We love you Bear, Jackie, and Peanut!
