The Big Reveal…Red, White, Pink OR Blue?

The whole tell people in a fun way…totally left the building on this one. Sorry Nemo…we really do not have any fun stories to tell you besides the fact that your Mom was excessively emotion and cried happy happy tears. Our parents received phone calls as they expected to and a few of our friends received text messages…as they expected to. They had been riding our IUI journey with us, they knew all the important days, and they too were anxiously awaiting our news on the 24th. There is no picture of a pregnancy test…there is no video of my reveal to your Dad…no videos of Grandma and your Aunt crying…no video of your Grandma and Grandpa being confused by our ingenious pregnancy announcement…no videos of your Aunties reactions…no photos of the cute gifts I made to reveal our pregnancy…and no photos of a cute shirt I made. We just didn’t do it and we didn’t feel it necessary. Everyone we would be telling early on already knew that we would be finding out that day…why should we make them wait for the news until we gave them special announcements?! We shouldn’t and we didn’t.

We did, however, plan to have a gender reveal! This is something we didn’t do with Jackie. So this time we already knew that we wanted to know sooner rather than later.

We originally had planned to have Dr. Cooper call us and reveal the gender of our Nemo. We then decided that since we were already scheduling a gender reveal party that we may as well be just as surprised as everyone else that was attending. And boy am I so glad we did! I picked up our all telling envelope on Monday July 16th. It was killing me! I texted my girlfriend that was carefully selected to make our box with the color of the gender inside for the reveal. I quickly dropped off the envelope to avoid further torture and temptations. The rest of the week dragged on as we anxiously awaited Saturday the 21st to arrive.

Finally it arrived. The day was absolutely perfect! All anxieties regarding our pregnancy went out the window on this day…I was completely and utterly happy and excited to discover boy or girl. We were surrounded by our immediate family and IUI warrior friends! As our black box was raised to the air…I was so excited! I began to jump with anticipation. We pulled the strings and at the first sight of PINK I immediately went into shock! “OH SHIT!” was all I could say…we are in so much trouble. (In a good way of course) Everyone else yelled with excitement! It was a beautiful moment. One in which I relive constantly and will never forget! It was PERFECT!

Most of you have already seen our video on Facebook so I had to keep something a secret to reveal on the blog.

Drumroll if you will…

Please help us celebrate our Baby Girl…Ms. Elizabeth Lee

We love you Bear, Jackie, Peanut, and Lizzy Lee!
